Blue Siren Shellfish
Blue Siren Shellfish is an Oregon-based, independently owned fish company focused on celebrating and sharing the local harvest supported by Oregon’s wild ocean and network of estuaries and bays. We are a tiny operation – one 24′ boat with a two-person crew – but we also work closely with other day-boat, local fishermen who share similar values and sustainable harvest techniques, to bring more of Oregon’s bounty to your table. Our wild-harvested products are generally caught to order and featured seasonally at select local restaurants and retailers.
Our own boat is an updated riff on the modern Pacific City Dory: F/V Storm Trooper was designed and built in 2015 by our own hands in Brighton, Oregon.
Moon River Farm
At Moon River Farm we believe in growing food in a way that supports all of the living systems that surround and support our farm. This means that we employ practices that allow us to grow food without the use of pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, or any other “-icides.” We utilize low-till/no-till practices and reduce our reliance on fossil fuels by farming primarily by hand. We use organic practices including cover cropping, composting, interplanting, and integrated pest management. We feel strongly about providing our wonderful coastal community with locally grown fresh food.
Low Tide Farms
Brenda & Kathleen raise heritage breed hogs on pasture in Clatskanie, OR with all the love in the world, ensuring the highest quality of life for their animals. Stewards of our earth, they only use the most sustainable and healthy practices for their pastures and pigs, never using sub-therapeutic antibiotics, hormones, growth promoters or unnecessary drugs on their animals. Driven by the challenge of accessing high quality local food, they work hard to get their products where they need to be and help many others in the community do the same.
Kathleen’s made it her life’s work to protect the forests, communities and natural resources as a wildland firefighter. Brenda has a belief that we can put an end to food insecurity. Together, they believe they can fulfill their passions by respecting and fostering the health of the land, the animals they care for and the people who eat their food.
Nehalem River Ranch
The 100 acre ranch is home to a rich diversity of flora and fauna and good land stewardship principals are central to our ranch operations. We raise all of our livestock humanely on pasture at our farm where paddocks are buffered from riparian areas and are managed using intensive rotations and a holistic planned grazing system. The food we produce is not only healthier, but better for the environment as natural, grass-based farming uses fewer fossil fuels, does not introduce chemicals or hormones into the environment or your food, decreases tillage and returns natural fertility to the soil.
JAndy Oyster Company
JAndy Oyster Company has been growing oysters since 2012. The beach-grown oysters are raised in beautiful Netarts Bay, Oregon, and picked by hand. JAndy Oysters are some of the best in the world, primarily due to good farming practices and spending their life nestled in one of the nation’s cleanest estuaries.
Todd Perman is a first-generation oyster farmer and the owner of the JAndy Oyster Company. His son Jacob is the namesake and ‘CEO’ of the company and is often found doing homework or helping around the shop. We are a working processing facility, as well as a newly remodeled oyster bar serving a variety of local delicacies.
Our goal is to have zero waste from our operation. That includes everything from planting new larvae on the reused shell – to harvesting, shucking, and processing our oysters before we deliver to our customers.
We put community benefit at the core of our purpose. Our focus is an organic, sustainable, and environmentally conscious effort to enrich the health and well being of all, not just with food, but through local activism and community engagement.
We make wild fermented bread, baked goods and nano-roasted coffee, with intention, in service of community.
Oregon Seaweed is a proud pioneer of a sustainably grown, carbon-negative sea vegetable on the Oregon coast. We think that great tasting vegetables don’t have to come at the expense of a healthy environment. Located in Garibaldi, OR and looking towards an environmentally friendly future of food, we are excited to be providing the Northern Oregon Coast with this sustainable superfood.
Sitka Sedge Farm
We are a small family farm just outside of Pacific City, on Oregon’s North Coast. Sitka Sedge Farm produces humanely-and-sustainably-raised specialty eggs, fine meats and quality livestock.
We love our animals, and we think that happy, well-cared-for animals produce better food. So, we raise our animals ethically, using sustainable practices and humane principals. Our animals enjoy spacious, clean, dry, predator-proof enclosures, and daily outside access with room to free-forage and behave naturally on two forested acres. We provide enrichment to encourage engagement in natural behaviors, and we feed nutritious, varied diets.
Forage & Farm
Forage & Farm was born out of the forests of the Pacific Northwest. Starting from family traditions and secret foraging locations passed down from generation to generation. We gather fresh, unique, and gourmet wild ingredients including mushrooms, berries, and greens for world renowned chefs and home chefs alike. Sustainability is important to us, so we only harvest using methods that promote, preserve, and expand our precious wild resources. We love what we do, and that is reflected in our reliability and the quality of our products.
Fraga Farmstead Creamery
Fraga Farmstead Creamery is located in Gales Creek Valley, a tributary of the Tualatin River, half an hour west of Portland. We share the valley with vineyards, orchards and other organic farms and look forward to farm to table dinners with locally sourced produce.
Fraga Farmstead Creamery is Oregon’s only certified organic goat dairy. We milk 72 very happy goats, turning the milk into a wide range of delicious cheese and treats as well as soap. We have been licensed Animal Welfare Approved since 2019.
We are a small farm in Tillamook on the North Oregon Coast. All our produce is grown naturally using no till methods. We work with the soil to produce fresh, healthy, and happy vegetables!
Tre-Fin Day Boat Seafood
Tre-Fin is a day boat fisher and processor based in Ilwaco, Washington. We fish outside the Columbia Bar, in local Oregon and Washington Waters. Tre-Fin delivers the highest-quality, traceable seafood available, and we are committed to using sustainable fishing practices to upend the way the industry operates.
We started as albacore fishers (we’re still the only registered Day Boat Tuna fisher in the region), bringing hook and line-caught juvenile Pacific albacore back to port within 24 hours for processing in our own facility. In 2018, we outfitted our boat, the F/V Opportunaty, with longline gear and consistently catch black cod, several species of rockfish, petrale sole, ling cod, halibut and skate in Oregon and Washington waters.
Jacobsen Salt Co.
Grounded in craftsmanship and community, Jacobsen Salt Co.’s mission is to provide the finest elemental cooking ingredients and kitchen staples that inspire people to cook, eat, and live well. Founded in 2011, we are the first company to harvest salt in the Pacific Northwest since the 1800s. Harvested from the cold, pristine waters of Netarts Bay on the Oregon Coast, our flake and kosher sea salts have since garnered worldwide favor for their beautiful presentation and pure taste by chefs and home cooks alike.
